Hey if any of you are expecting your refund tomorrow and bank with usaa check your accounts because ours showed up in there today. One more reason to love usaa. :) 

We just got ours today. Were supposed to get it by the 9th. We were happy :) 

ours is pretty much gone. we just have to sell our bedroom set so we can get our new bed then our money is gone. lol! 

We got ours too but pretty much gonna be gone real fast. Gonna pay off some bills! 

Ashley N, i had someone write me for my Nursery Set yesterday but she has not gotten back at me yet. If she buys it then i would definitely love to come by to get a closer look at the set you have for sale. Wish me luck =) 

YEA! ours came in today! 

I'm so bad! I was having an off day when I was doing taxes, and I forgot to ask when I'd have the return by, and none of the paperwork says it! I'm hoping it'll be next Friday (or Thursday, since I LOVE USAA) 

yes, USAA is the shiznat! lol. but we did ours jackson hewitt and they told us it would be in there today and it was. now i just need to transfer it into my savings before hubby has a chance to spend it all. lol (dont worry we agreed on it, he's horrible with money) 

I couldn't file electronically b/s I had to sign and send in a form so no tellin when I will get my refund. That sux. 

YAY DIANA! I really hope you can buy it I'm so ready to get our king size bed! Hubby and I fight over our bed way too much and throw a little baby in the mix and the bed is way too small. LOL

yeah i filed mine on the 29th and still didn't get mine yet.... 

We still haven't filed ours :(. My hubby wants to do it on post, but then they have such limited hours. How much does it cost to do it at H&R Block or Jackson Hewitt? I would file them myself, but then we have weird circumstances like claiming my mom as a dependent, and then my tuition statements, and well different things. hah. I'm afraid of screwing it up. 

h r block charges upwards of $200 to e file state and federal if you get it back in 8-15 days 

but then they have such limited hours. You mean Monday thru Friday 9-5? I guess I never thought about the down side of them not doing it after normal work hours. If your husband is a soldier though... he should be able to talk to his command and make the appointment and go do it himself. Just a thought. 

I never thought about the down side of them not doing it after normal work hours if you work all day (9 to 5) its hard to make it to places that close when you do. not all commands let soldiers leave for things like that, i know mine would NEVER beable to get the time to leave to go do taxes. I did ours, but i jumped the gun :( and i just got a w-2 ( i forgot about that place, i helped durring v-day last year) and a school 1098? so now i have to fill an amendment and im NOT paying h&r block $80 to do it ( i called them and the lady said she didnt even know how to do it but to come in and pay them and they would "figure" it out.) I called te IRS directly, they were very helpful and nice, so i'm just filling it on my own. 

Well I guess that works. Sorry you have had such a hard time with it. Paperwork is not really a fun thing. As to not all commands let soldiers leave for things like that... (my husband's unit lets him leave for nothing, but he does get to do taxes with me every year for some reason) when I asked my husband, he said that's true, except in cases of taxes. If you tell the command you are using the one on-post, they are supposedly required to give you a little time off at your scheduled appointment. He says that's the whole point of the free tax center, is for soldiers. Most especially single ones, but it's a free service to benefit them. I guess the office is even suppose to know when it's a soldier on duty and they are suppose to have a fast priority so they are in and out under an hour (I had a short wait, but I was still in and out under an hour anyways). 

stella- ya that may be possible. I don’t use the post tax center though, I have twice in the past, and the man who did our taxes was VERY, VERY rude, and horribly messed up our takes and Jackson Hewitt had to fix them both times! Once it it cost us $350!!!!! To be fixed and the other time $200 

That so sucks! I'm glad mine is always just the 1040 EZ form. I could do it myself really. I don't care enough to try and figure out if I have anything to itemize. I probably should 

if you cant do it on post, you should definitley do turbo tax. we did ours jackson hewitt and cost $300,and i regret it because the guy came out with the exact same amount that i estimated we'd get back. i estimated on turbo tax and h&r block online and the amount h&r block said was waay wrong. federal is free and state is like $35bucks on turbotax. 

i have a question i went though hnr block to file our taxes on Jan 29th and i called them this passed Saturday and they told me i should get it on the 12th so my husband called them today and they said our refund got denied for bank reasons does anyone know what that means....we don't owe no child support or student loans..... 

they didnt tell you what reasons? did you double check your bank info, they mightve gotten a number mixed up. they didnt email you? we got one saying it was approved and being processed. you can check the irs site too 

hnr just said it came back saying "bank reason" we didn't do direct deposit we did the check sent to hnr block and we pick it up from them we didn't get no email if it wasn't for my husband calling and double checking today with them we wouldn't have known it got denied but they took his info and is going to look it over sense we paid them the extra 30 dollars to deal with this stuff....

okay they called back and said the denied was for the 1-2 day ral i could beat them they scared the crap out of me one day they will have actually people in there that knows what they are talking about.... 

well, they should've told you about the ral when you were there. noone in active duty can do the ral anymore. we're supposed to be getting ours this wknd hopefully 

yeah thats when im suppose to get mine too is thursday or friday 

so i got federal on the 5th but state didnt come in yet... i wonder why or when it will... filed with jackson hewitt. 

they said it only takes a week to get state back my mother and few others got there state back in a week...they got it back before there federal maybe just the mail system is slow i still haven't gotten mine either...i think they come in on Wednesday will see though.... 

WOW.. I haven't even thought to make plans to go file taxes. Hubby and I ain't in a hurry. We probably would get back less than what we make every two weeks. SO scary! 2 incomes (Hubby is military and I work Government) and don't forget ONE child.. Have fun with all your refund ladies
