My husband and I are planning to reaffirm our marriage with another wedding ceremony at the end of this year. We will have been married 2 years in May, and we have had some pretty close calls the past two years, dealing with betrayal & trust, and we want to renew our vows and basically "re-enter" this marriage. Does anyone have any experience in this or advice? Anyone know of any good websites that will help with the wording of the ceremony, invitations, etc?

Lol, my husband and I have been swearing we were gonna do one of those ever since we got married. We had an LDS bishop marry us, and they have rules about the wording. They have to say "Til the end of your mortal life". He was the only person we could find available for the time and date we had. Hehe, we even had the Mayor ready to marry us! My husband has always felt strongly though that the words "til death do us part" should be taken out. He wants to know he's married to me forever, literally! It's cute, but we've just never done it. I've always wondered how we'd do ours.

I was 7 momths pregnant when i got married. IT was at the courthouse by the jp with 2 clerks for witnesses. None of my family was there. I am in love with weddings. I would absolutely love to have a nice little church wedding sometime. I want my dad to be able to walk me down the aisle

That is absolutely awesome! I'm happy for you! The main post chapel will let you have the ceremony there for free (but you will have to go through the marriage chaplin at the family life chapel by the huddle house for "marriage counseling". I know you are already married and it makes absolutely NO sense. My husband and I were already married when we had our ceremony and they said it was a post requirement regardless if you were already married and just having the ceremony, so we had to go through the marriage session, just one though, and get the "ok" from the chaplin before we could have a ceremony on base.) We had the reception at the warrior club and it was really nice. We only paid $125 for the reception rental and the lady over it was super nice. She stayed for MANY hours waitin for us to get set up, have the reception, then clean up. I don't know what colors you are going to use, but I have tons of dark purple, light purple, and white silk flower petals left over from my wedding that are new in the package, just sitting in my attic that I'll sell you really cheap if you are going with those colors....lol! Ebay was a lifesaver for me as far as getting stuff for the wedding that was nice and priced right. It is really awesome that you guys are doing this!

Thanks!! We got married in a rush too, so we've always wanted to do something bigger, and we thought that this was a perfect time to do it, since he'll be leaving sometime after. Our first wedding was red & white, so I was thinking on sticking to those colors and maybe reusing my dress. And unfortunately we can't have it here on post, we will have it in our hometown in Texas so all our family can be there this time. (It was a problem that we didn't invite the WHOLE family last time) Thanks for the suggestions!
