This thread is about the service or care we receive in the area, wether it be health care, general services, daycare, home improvement, whatever. If you have had a good or bad experience with someone in the service industry, please let us know here.
We use Dental Plus in Leesville, but when my 6 year old got a tooth ache they referred us to a Pediatric Dental Clinic in Alexandria, Dr. Brasher. They are just so wonderful out there, very much dedicated to patient comfort, and to creating a great dental experience for your kids. My son can't wait to go back for another check up. He had so much fun playing their video games, picking out prizes, I don't think he even realized he was at the Dentist's office.
I'm just glad someone in the area is awake right now besides me! lol We use the clinic as well, and as it turns out something like 60% of the paitents there are military from polk. CRAZY! We love it though, and my son (5 yrs old) doesn't mind any of it.
Lynn,
How much do they charge for carpet cleaning? I kind of want to get our living and dining room cleaned. They aren't stained, but I want to keep them in good condition.
I payed 85 for my tiny north fort house, and it was the whole house. My girlfriend just used them and he charged her 125 for her whole house in palmetto.

I used PM services too a while back when we moved. I told my landlord at the time who we were using, he said they used to use them but they had bad service experiences so they quit after a few no shows. But he did a great job for me, he didn't come on the day he was supposed to, said something had broke and had to go to Alex for the part, but he came the next day and did a great job. I would use them again.
I am in desperate need of a lawyer. My ex hasn't paid his car note in 3 yrs and now owes $1,400 in past due fees. My name is on that car, and his name is on my current car. I need a good layer to help me fight to get my name out of the lease. If anyone knows a good lawyer off post, PLEASE let me know, asap! Thanks
have you tried spot cleaning the red stains? my husband comes home for lunch n never takes his boots off ugh so grabbed some resolve pet stain remover (I didnt have pet stains but I seen it in the pet section n grabbed it because i knew I'd forget to get some carpet cleaner if I didnt get it then) so now i have really really clean parts of my carpet lol it works super good.
I use Resolve and it works great. My husband NEVER takes his boots off either unless he is done for the day with work. If it's raining outside or has rained and it's muddy (which it always is at his office cause it's all dirt there) then I make him put plastic bags over his boots. He hates it but we have a little one that crawles and I don't want him crawling around on dirty carpet.
Has anyone used the rent-able carpet cleaners at the shoppettes? I am thinking about getting one but don't know if I should waste my money on it or just have someone come out and do it....
I used one before to clean the carpets before our HHG came in. It works just fine. Was a bit of a hassle to get the stair attachment, I think everybody shampooed their stairs that weekend, lol. I think the important part is to not go cheap on the Cleaning Solution. We usually buy the Bissel Stuff and it smells so nice afterwards. They even have some with febreeze in it now. Nice =)

Call James Cain in Lake Charles. He is absolutely awesome. My husband and I have used him on several cases. He's always got me MORE than what we asked him to do. His law office only handles civil cases, no criminal cases. He is the best attorney anywhere near here by far. He is also licensed in TX and several other southern states. He's the son of a retired, well-respected and liked LA Representative, James David Cain Sr. He's very down to earth, friendly, and competent as a lawyer. If anyone can do it for you, he can.

yeah but big red stains are different then mudd stains, there are special stuff for it grrr i hate big red
There is some stuff they sell at Walmart that will get anything out. It is called OUT Pet Stain and Odor Remover. I found it when they used to sell it in the laundry area. Now they sell it in the pet area with all the cleaning supplies there, but it is for any type of stain. You can use it on carpets, inside the steam cleaner, in the washer, on furniture. I have got out faded stains that were dried on high in the dryer before I saw the fading with this stuff! It sometimes takes 2-3 times if it is a REALLY bad, set in stain, like red wine, but it WILL come out. I've yet to find anything that wouldn't come out when I put this stuff on it. I've used it in my steam cleaner, as a pre-treater and added to my washer as a booster for the laundry soap. I've sprayed it directly on my carpet when my toddler has spilled spagettios on it, and it came completely out. I've had such good luck with it. I use the spray bottle then refill it with the gallon refill that they sell. They sell out of it quick at walmart though.
Ok, so my oldest Son had his Sports Physical yesterday and we found out he needs glasses. They gave me a Paper with different Optometrists in Leesville but i was wondering if anybody can recommend someone that works with Tricare? Tmomas Vision something was on there. That's just one i remember right now, i will have to look at it again to get the other names listed.
TIA =)
I have used Thomas Vision Clinic. They were very nice and got me in and out pretty quick. Their glasses prices were a bit pricey for me, I got a copy of my prescription and took in to the optical place in the PX. The lady there was very nice and helpful also, had my glasses in about a week. If I remember correctly she said they come in between 3 and 5 days. Hope that helps!
I've used Thomas Vision, and I'm sorry to say that I had a horrible experience. They were very nice, and after having the prescription double checked, they were very close to accurate on that. However, I was getting contacts for the first time, and the intire process from start to finish was a nightmare (not just disappointing... but painful). They stuck contacts in my eyes, and sent me home without teaching me how to take them out or anything. Within hours my eyes were burning. The brand was totally wrong for me. After consulting two other eye doctors, I discovered that it's very very bad to put contacts on someone and expect them to take and last night and day (I was suppose to wear mine for two weeks before I went back). The change of kind of contacts they did were bad too. My normal eye doctor in Utah just had to look at my eyes to figure out I have extremely dry eyes and needed a special kind.
I rambled. I just can't stand to think back to that. They are really nice, but it was just so horrible. Even when I bought the glasses, they didn't sit me down and fit them to me. They just sent me home. They were my first pair of eye glasses, so I assumed that was normal. Big mistake.
