I want to see that!! I swear they always pick the hottest guys to play military roles. I saw the most beautiful military guy ever when I was in Charlotte one time, I didn't even notice what branch he was it. lol He seriously looked like he walked off a movie set...amazing. 

i hate romance novels. and im not at all a fan of sparks yet some how out of all the people i work with i got elected to be the one that has to read the book and participate in the promotion. it promotion itself is really good, i just didnt want to read the book... i was hoping a few other ladies were reading it too haha

He seriously looked like he walked off a movie set. i have a photo of my grandfather in WWII with a bomber type jacket on, he is drop dead GORGEOUS! it looks like a still from the pearl harbor movie with ben afflek and josh harnet, except they have NOTHING on him in this photo! its crazy! 

I read the book, and loved it. I am more a W.E.B Griffin and Stephan King kinda girl, but I do enjoy Spark's writing. He is a SUPER nice guy too so I have to like his books. 

Im a Nicholas Sparks fan :) Started loving him with The Notebook...I JUST got rid of Dear John when we moved from Hawaii cuz I thought I was NEVER going to read it since Id had it for years and it just sat on the bookshelf...but here I am now, searching for the book so I can read it LoL Looks like a great movie! 

I love Nicholas Sparks, but I prefer his books over the movies. For instance, A Walk to Remember was very different in the movie. However, it was still good. I'd like to get a hold of his Dear John book. I don't get very many of his often, because everyone thinks since he has movies out his books are worth a fortune or something. I don't buy books for more than a dollar really. Sometimes a tad more on ebay or Amazon if I get a good lot of an author I like. I am looking forward to seeing the movie though. It comes out on Feb 2nd right? 

Stella, I think it comes out on the 5th! Dunno when Im gonna see that one. But I just have to remind myself that the books are ALWAYS better than the movies, but if the m ovie is made well, Im happy with the changes...Nights in Rodanthe was SO different when it came to her kids, but it was still great :) 

I think all books are better than the movies. Except the Green Mile, that movie was just as good as the book, it also helped that Tom Hanks was the one of the main characters. :) Such a good actor. 

Im in the process of reading Dear John I picked it up on block leave in Iowa. Its a really good book Im halfway through it. I had no clue there was a new movie coming out about it. We actually was looking for it up there because I wanted to see it. Im so excited to know it will be coming soon and with him as the main character you know it will be good! 

I loved this book, it is by far one of my favorites. The title may turn some of you off, but the book is more about the meaning of true love than it is about a girl leaving her boyfriend. I was so excited when I heard they were making it into a movie, I can't wait to see it! I will be entering this contest every chance I get just because the book was THAT good :) 

I havent read the book but i have seen The Notebook I didnt read that book either ,if it's anything like it I dont wanna see it, I watched The Notebook n was seriously cryin like a baby my eyes were so puffy the next day it looked like i got punched in both eyes!!!n had to tell everyone what happened when they asked lol 

Anyone have the book that I could borrow? I looked at Walmart and they didn't have it, go figure!

OMG i just saw the Movie Preview...It looks awesome. I have to see it. 

I just saw the full trailer too.. GOTTA see it. The Notebook is one of my ALL time favorite movies- and Dear John looks like it's going to be equally moving. I say we all make plans (those who want to see it) and go together. That is, if you don't mind my balling through the movie. I'm a sucker for romantic films but with Hubby being in Iraq- those types of movies are even more moving for me to watch. Anyone want to go with me cuz I am NOT going alone!! lol 

I'm for a group outing. I hate going to movies alone (I've only ever done it twice in my life), and I know better than to take my husband with. 

Well, mine would go.. but he's not here. And, I will NOT go alone. It comes out Feb 5th.. I'd love to meet some of yall there. ;-) Stella, are you in? 

Well, I'll be honest. I want to see it, but I don't support the local leesville theater. I'd probably go to Alex to see it. Their theater is nicer, has bigger screens, more comfortable seats, has better food prices, better movie prices, and has a military discount. I realize most people can't just go to Alex though. When you have kids and/or a job it's hard to plan. 

the theater in town is a joke too! i hope they play it on post 

Just went to the library on post, they don't have any copies available and px didn't have it. The Vernon Parish Library said they have a couple of copies left, but I'd much rather sit on my but and go on amazon.com and order it rather than go off post to get it. Thank goodness for the internet! ;) 

Im so excited! The movie comes out today and me and my hubby are going to see it. So needless to say tonight cant get here soon enough! 

I saw this tonight.. It was okay.. I might just be a hard movie critic.. I dont know... My girlfriend I went with LOVED it though.. Any one else see it... 

I haven't gone to see it yet. I got the book offline- haven't started reading it, though. I really want to see the movie so I doing want to spoil it by picking up the book too soon. Sorry I haven't posted in a while Ladies.. this site has been acting up horribly for me!! Most days it just sits here and won't load.. so I give up. Hope everyone is doing well!
