I'm sure I'm not the only one here that has had problems with lots of people being no-shows. I think it may be a good idea to start a list of the people that tell you they are commiting to buying an item from you and you mark ppu and they never show. Not only do we lose the chance to sell items because they are ppu but we have to go through the trouble of reposting our items. I think if we make a list of who does it, it wil save us lots of time and money and possibly deter those who do it from repeating it.

Yuralria --- 321 days ago -

i love this idea! im not sure why no one thought of it before! im so tired of waiting for people who NEVER show or have the curtisy to let you know they wont be coming

Ashley N. --- 321 days ago -

What I LOVE (sarcasm inserted there) is when people actually CALL or TEXT and say "I'll be there in ___ minutes" so you wait around and NOTHING. OR!! When you get rid of your kitchen table because someone else was holding theirs for you and once you get rid of yours they "sold theirs". UGH!

Emily --- 321 days ago -

Ill happily start. One that a friend and I have had problems with is a Kira Byrd(her last name is in her display name, or else i wouldnt give it out). She has been a no show 1 time for me. She sent me an email the NEXT day telling me she wouldnt be showing up. She also was going to buy something from a friend of mine while I was at this friends house having lunch. Kira shows up with her kids and then stayed for OVER an hour chatting (we were trying to eat lunch and made many remarks about wanting to eat but thought it was rude to eat in front of her). Then her child tried to steal some things from my friends house, luckily i saw him with the stuff before they left!

Terra --- 321 days ago -

I've only had 1 no show and no e-mail replys, from a Sara with a yahoo e-mail account. Won't give out last name or anything. I'm glad I've never had a problem with no shows, but I've had too many problems with people telling me they are holding an item, and then I'm on my way to get it, I call and it's sold. What the hell? I told you when I'd be there... where was my courtesy call to tell not to waste my time cause your a jerk of a seller. Ug, being a seller and a buyer sucks. I understand both sides of it, but I always hand out my phone number with texting and calling available, and e-mails work fine too. People should have the courtesy to communicate.

Momma_LeBouef --- 321 days ago -

I have had the same issues, with a Paula from Dry Creek, I held 20.00 dollars worth of stuff for her pick up. She was suppose to call me before she came over she didn't I had to go get my daughter from the daycare and by the time I got home she had been by already. When I called her she said she would be right here, nothing. Ashley N. I am sorry I bought your table adn left you without one, but my daughter loves the table...lol. Terra I know what you mean about selling something, I told someone in Deridder that my hubby was going to come and get a set of queen mattresses the next day since it was after 7 at night already, she gave me her phone number, ect and the next day when I called to tell her that we couldn't find her house she told me she had sold it already.

Ashley N. --- 321 days ago -

Aww. Its okay. I'm so glad she loves it!! :) Just pissed me off that the lady was so rude to sell hers. OH WELL! I'm on the look out for another one.

Momma_LeBouef --- 321 days ago -

Yeah she does, so no more "mommy I want a circle table"lol

Terra --- 321 days ago -

Maybe we should start a second list. The people who don't hold stuff for you even when they tell you they are. Waste of time trying to buy anything from them. Rude to sell out from under someone.

Ashley N. --- 321 days ago -

awww :)

Brook --- 321 days ago -

ive also had problems with the kira byrd person twice she didnt show up when she said she would when i called she said she forgot and shed come the next day... she was late the next day so i called her again and she came then 2 weeks later she said she wanted me to hold something till thursday on a monday so iheld it and called on thursday and come thursday she didnt call or show so icalled her friday and she said she forgot and shed come in a few minutes and then, never showed... i wont sell to her ANYMORE for sure...

Brook --- 321 days ago -

oh and momma lebouf i think i was the one with the queen mattresses well i think it was just the boxspring and if it was me the only reason that happened is because my husband is a dingleberry and sent someone from his work on post during the day to come get it from us and i had no idea he was going to do that, im really so sorry if it was me!

Momma_LeBouef --- 321 days ago -

Brook, my hubby just told me that it was a king set not a queen sorry I was looking at queen sets before typong this up, the name was twinkletoes from deridder that we were gonna buy from. Was that you?

Brook --- 321 days ago -

yes thats me it must have been the king set because the only queen size thing we sold was just a boxspring nevertheless it was when my husband sent some guys from post to come pick them up that he works with, i didnt intend to stand you up! like i said im soo sorry!

Momma_LeBouef --- 321 days ago -

Ah ok that explains alot-lol that would def be something my hubby would do except mine would then forget he sent them and look like a deer caught in the head lights

Brook --- 321 days ago -

lol, men... mine just never answers his phone so when i called him to ask if he sent those guys no answer... of course, and when i told him he couldnt just do that, hes a super arrogant person he just acts like its not a big deal and that IM the crazy one lol...

Candice --- 321 days ago -

I have had several "no shows" and no email responses... Don't remember who they are. I had one person ask me to hold about $50 worth of things and then nothing for 1.5 weeks. When I emailed her she said she didn't have a car because her husband had gone TDY with it. I asked when she would be able to come get it and she said she didn't know but would like me to hold it for her. What am I supposed to do?

Jenn ♥ --- 321 days ago -

I had someone ask if i could hold my crib for a week because his check was short and his baby really needed it. I said yes because i understood. i held it, emailed the day before payday to see if he still wanted it, and he said yes. When i emailed again the next day to get a pick up time, he never replied. I sent 2 more emails, and same thing. that Paula lady asked me if i'd take a $30 cut off what i was asking for it, after that. Um no thats crazy. I've also had another buyer supposed to pick up something last wknd, and i emailed all day and she kept giving excuses why she couldn't at that time. We stayed home for 2 days waiting. finally, 4 days later, after she forgot to come by, she came that night after she said she'd be by at lunchtime. A lady that bought from me yesterday had the same problem with that girl.

Ashley N. --- 321 days ago -

Jennifer was it the fatheroffour person?

Yuralria --- 321 days ago -

darn, i had a few, ones that should be looked out for too, but i forgot/deleted them. too bad we didnt think of this before haha if i get more i will post here asap but i hope i dont

BratsMuttsNFish --- 321 days ago -

Well it seems like it's a repetitive problem then for some people. I wont mention names but 2 of the bad bookooers mentioned above I have dealt with too. If I do happen to hold something I will put *PPU till date and time* Last time I did that for someone the lady came to my house, saw the item, said she wanted it, but just couldn't bring it home right then since she needed a truck, so I held it for a day for her, and she did come and pick it up. I usually don't give out my address or directions until I get a call or email saying they are on their way, or will come at a certain time. And I always tell people to call me before you come, just in case someone else has beat you to it. That way you won't make a trip out here for nothing. But if you say I will be there in an hour, I will hold it for an hour. But other than that it's first come first serve here.

Jenn ♥ --- 321 days ago -

Ashley, i cant remember who it was now. It's been awhile

Candice --- 321 days ago -

I have something posted and had two people ask if I would take $35 off the item, making it less than half what I was asking, it is worth what I am asking and so much more, why would you even ask?

Yuralria --- 321 days ago -

ha! i had someone do that too! all the items she wanted added up to about $80? and she offerent $5. ummm... thank you but no

Jenn ♥ --- 321 days ago -

I am always willing to negotiate, but im here to make money, too. If im selling something for $5, don't offer $1. Thats crazy. I would probably go down to $2.50-$3.

Candice --- 321 days ago -

agreed!

Yuralria --- 321 days ago -

oh definitely, i will negotiate, its all apart of yard sales/flea markets but people need to be reasonable and not insult our intelligence so to speak but trying to see what they can get away with

Diana --- 321 days ago -

I know, it happens to me all the time. And the they get rude when they don't get a $20 item for $5.

Its-Still-Me --- 321 days ago -

jennifer...I also had a crib listed for $50 and that same lady that asked you to take off a crazy amount email me about mine and wanted me to take $15 for it....I was like Are you serioud? I know it a few scratches but it was definitely not that b ad....People are crazy, even when you specifically say you are taking REASONABLE Offers...Gives me a good giggle, Lol.

Jenn ♥ --- 321 days ago -

Another thing that bugs me is when people tell me my items aren't worth the asking price. I think i'm really reasonable on my things. That's rude and insulting.
