oh, and we bought a new car in 09, which you can include that and i thought they were supposed to give you the sales tax back that was payed, but they dont, they trick you. 

I bought a house in 09 I am supposed to be getting the $8500 tax credit back from that, but I am still waiting on my W2s. So aggravating. 

I will never go to Jackson hewitt again..they told us we had to pay in $500 for doing an amendment...so we did..IRS calls me back in a week asking why we paid it in.....the IRS lady told me to never go there again lol 

It was in the Polk Guardian about the Car Sales Tax Refund but our Car weighs more then 8500lb so it does not apply to us :( 

ok ladies i have a question... my husband was deployed for most of last year... so on his w2 under box 12 it says see instructions. umm... what instructions? 

The instructions on the back of the W-2. :) Don't worry you don't really need the instructions. If you have letters in that box the Q should be his pay while deployed and if you use tsp that should be labeled D. If you have something else let me know and I can hopefully tell you what it is. 

Rachelle~ thanks! :) there were no instructions on the back of his w2, but when i started doing the tax thing at home it walked me thru it, so i was able to figure it all out. Yea! 

whatever combat pay he recieved is non taxable and should have the letter Q in one of the boxes. our new car was a little toyota, but we didnt get any of the sales tax back.. i dont think i'll ever have someone do our taxes. i'm pretty darn good at it, and now i can prove to my hubby that i can do it alot more easily and cheaper than having jackson hewitt do it 

Okay, the IRS "Wheres My Refund?" website and the Cycle Chart Link that was posted here are giving me different dates....Which do I believe? 

Your refund date is usually the friday before whatever the wheres my refund website says. Go by the chart because the IRS only direct deposits on Fridays.
