ok i love to put my 2cents about all these people that email and don't show. i have had about 10 this week. I wish people would just email me back and say they changed there mind or can't make it and set up new time if they still want the item. what really gets me is i had a no show 2 days ago and she emails me about a item i posted today. Ok i'll take a pass on that sell better then having another no show.
Yeah. I'll get multiple emails about my items and 90% of the time the person doesn't respond once I tell them "yes its still available!". Its annoying.
Ashley, I am not upset or trying to start drama either. The batteries still worked that were in it and I didn't change them out to make sure it worked right. I didn't tell her there was nothing I could do about it I just told her it still worked when I had it and that was all. I am sorry that it didn't work.
Okay, I just have a thought I wanted to share, and it's not pertaining to anyone particular.
I think people need to also remember that there are some luxuries to shopping on "bookoo". It's a yard sale site... but if you were to buy some things at a yard sale, you wouldn't get to test it, you wouldn't get a great conversation, you wouldn't be able to go back and ask questions later...
If you don't want to compare it to garage saleing, it could be compared to a thrift store. The thrift store doesn't guarentee anything and has no history and does not have the ability to test most of the stuff that comes through their door that needs testing.
I just wanted to throw that out there. I've had bad experiences with thrift stores, and garages sales, and with bookoo. It doesn't change that 90% of what I do buy is an AMAZING deal. Heck, I went to the thrift store the other day and found something I'd been looking for for weeks and was willing to pay 20 used for it, and I picked it up for 4! Heck, it was an even better item than what I thought I would get. Too perfect.
stella, that is true. but it should also be up to the buyer to make sure something works before they just take someones word for it. thoughm that doesnt make it any less irritating when something doesnt work

didnt show up to pick an item up. emailed 2x's and messaged her on chat a cpl times and she never replied.
I got one better for yall I had a lady for 4 days in a row tell me she was coming for 1 piece of clothing and she would call after the arranged time with an excuse I told her Saturday my kids all had games and I was leaving here at exactly 1030 (keep in mind she had my cell number) so at 1030 I left well she showed up here at 10 till 11 and then called my house phone and was like Ive been out here beating on your door for 30 minutes. When I called her she was like well I live on North fort and I dont know when I can come back. That will be the last time I sell to her. And yes household6 has 3 names that she uses BEWARE
Ok to add to my last one I LOVE the emails do you still have an item and Im very interested and when you reply back NOTHING. Or they ask if you will take less and then offer you a price and when you agree NOTHING blah some people are soooo rude. If I decide I dont want something I let the person know. Better yet I had a guy want something and jewed my down on the price and then didnt call for 2 days when he said he would be there and then he emails and offers me half the price he talked me down to. NO THANKS
And yes household6 has 3 names that she uses BEWARE
I only have THIS account so i dont know WTF your talking about. Yes i have Not picked up one item. but OMG its one thing!
one thing? I count two people having problems with you just in the last day. It's common courtesy to inform people when you change your mind or can't pick up.
Also, this isn't a "bash" thread, so it's not a huge deal to be named on this list unless your name comes up over and over and over again... that's when other sellers get wary of selling to you. For just two instances I'd still give you a chance at a pick up, but if you failed to pick up I'd add to the list. It's not a big deal.
OMG I had a lady that wanted an item I had posted back in October last year she emailed me for over a month and nothing I hadnt reposted yet and she called me yesterday I was like are you freakin serious.
I agree. I've gotten more no shows in the last 2 weeks than I've had in the last 3 months combined. I don't know what it is. And I have about 6 emails just sitting in my inbox from people who contacted me saying they wanted an item (not just "is this available" but actually "i'll take this") and no reply when I respond. What is it with people these days?
I've had a few no shows as well. I already deleted the emails, but I still have this old grill in my backyard. If I put it by the curb on trash day, will they take it? I'm almost thinking of offering $5 to someone to pick it up and dispose of it. lol
I have a few no shows as well... From 2 different people. One of which was 2 days in a row from the same person!!!
I've had emails asking for my items saying "do you still have this?" I reply but no response.
Yes i have Not picked up one item. but OMG its one thing!
yes, but you could also have replied to one of my emails or chat msgs.
kat, they should get it with the trash. if not someone would probably drive by and snatch it lol.
Trash will pick it up. I was told I could get rid of mine that way, but someone who worked for housing came to my door and asked if he could take it before trash got it.

Emailed and said she wanted my table and could get it asap. called her and she said she could be here to look at it in half an hour. we sat home almost 2 hours, so i texted her. half hour later she texts back saying sorry she cant come, but can around 830 in the morning(today). i texted this morning to let her know i didnt have garage key and to let me know when she was gonna come. then she tells me she isnt coming and couldnt make it so didnt want it. woulda been nice not to waste time last night or could let me know she changed her mind
I had a lady come to my house on Sunday to pick up a shirt. She said she knocked, i didnt hear anything prob because i was giving my son a bath. My hubby said he saw her get in her car and speed off. She had my number so she could have called. Havent heard anything since!
I've had a TON of emails lately where someone shows interest in one of my items, then NEVER gets back to my reply. It's really bugging me. I'm going to start posting emails on here. Getting your hopes up that someone is interested in buying an item is just a frustrating as a no show!
yeah, i forgot about my no show, since i was gone yesterday. this girl has bought from me before, and its never a quick pick up. always days of emails and trying to nail down a day/time. she was finally supposed to come friday. i left this item out so it didnt get packed. she emails and said she had to go to the bank, but did i have change for a $10. (cost was $5) and told her all i had was w $10's. so her next email said, all she had was $3 or a $10. well, i wasnt reducing my price since it had already been reduced from original posting price. . so, i email back and ask (nicely) if she could stop at the shoppette and break her $10. well, guess it was too much trouble since she never showed up. now i have 2 sets of sheets i have to haul with me because of her.
the email is
